The Gift Shop operates a high street presence and has been in business at its current location for over 20 years. We are completely dedicated to your total satisfaction.
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Switch & AMEX. On the order you must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number - the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received.
You may also pay by cheque or postal order although we cannot dispatch the goods until payment has been cleared which can take at least 10 days. Cheques postal orders should be made out to The Gift Shop and sent to 4 Fore Street Liskeard Cornwall PL14 3JB United Kingdom
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

Shipping And Handling
Shipping And Handling prices are Free on all orders over £100.00 excluding VAT .
All charges for Shipping, Handling and VAT will be cleary displayed in the check out page.
Delivery Schedule
Delivery of stock items to the UK will generally be made within 7 days upon clearance of payment.
Delivery to Europe and Worldwide locations may take 28 days.
We will endeavour to deliver on or before any dates that we have specified, but we will not be liable to any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by the delay for delivery of the goods.
If we are unable to deliver within 7 days of payment clearance than we will notify you of any delay and you should allow up to 28 days for delivery.
For deliveries that will take longer than 28 days, then you have the right to cancel the order and you are entitled to a full refund to the total value of the cancelled order. (Except For Custom Chains and Poole Pottery Orders)
For Custom Chains Orders and Poole Pottery Orders. These items are made to order and no cancellation is allowed due to the fact that they are made to specific requirements.
Custom Chain purchases are not held in stock due to the variations of size and width. All these chains are made to order and meet your specific requirements. Once made they are then sent to an assay office for hallmarking. The usual time frame from ordering, make up, assay and delivery to your address is usually 14-21 days.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption.

All goods are covered by the Distance Selling Act, Faulty Goods Act and the Manufacturers Guarantee.

Returns Policy
We offer a full money back guarantee.
If you are not happy with any goods that you receive from us than you have the right to a full refund, as long as you return the goods within 7 working days of receiving them, that they have not been damaged or worn, are in pristine condition and are in their original packaging, this does not include any shipping costs. See Exclusions below.
A full money back guarantee does not apply to goods that have been specially made, customized or altered to your requirements. i.e any goods order from our CustomChain, chains made to your requirments, or to goods such as earrings, belly bars and other forms of jewelley that are used for piercings.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
Goods deemed to be faulty can be returned for repair/replacement under the Faulty Goods Act.
Problems with delivered goods and orders.
If goods are damaged in transit you must make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note, and you must inform us within 7 days by writing or either by email to enquire@thegiftshop-online.co.uk
You must sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier's delivery consignment note. Any missing goods must be noted on the consignment note and you must notify us by writing or by email to enquire@thegiftshop-online.co.uk
You must notify us of any in-correct orders supplied to you within 7 days from delivery by writing or by email to enquire@thegiftshop-online.co.uk
We do not accept any liability for goods lost in delivery. You must notify us within 7 days from expected delivery date by writing or by email to enquire@thegiftshop-online.co.uk
You may cancel an order before it is dispatched to your address.
